A few photos from some recent shoots.   Did another session with the lovely Duane Eddy nestled deep in the Nashville countryside.  Here's a couple of us goofing around...

Did a recent session in LA with friend & renowned music producer Scott Humphrey, great guy and really easy to work with.

Sparkly Shoots

I've been working on and off this year with my talented friend Lesley Mortimer Wallace.  As well as being personal assistant to my friends Def Leppard,  Lesley owns and operates "Precious Metal Designs", a Nashville based company that creates elaborate Rhinestone designs on instruments and equipment for famous musicians and bands.  Lesley and I got creative with the themes for the shoots we did.  Check 'em out....

Snakes Alive! Whitesnake Are Back!!

I'm the most guilty of all when it comes to neglecting a blog these days it seems.  I get asked a lot to post more regularly but inevitably time seems to always grasp the upper hand.  That said I wanted to share some photos from a shoot I did with Whitesnake in January.  Flying into a decidedly chilly Reno I was collected at the airport and whisked up to Incline Village, Lake Tahoe to Whitesnake headquarters where a couple of days of  photo shoots with David Coverdale and the Whitesnake guys seemed more like hanging out than actual work.  Check out the images and please check out the fab new album "Forevermore"......

Working with the legendary Duane Eddy

I recently was commissioned by Gretsch Guitars to shoot the legendary Duane Eddy.  The beautiful new G6120DE Duane Eddy Signature Guitar was the reason for the shoot here in Nashville.  It turned out to be a great session, Duane was more than cooperative and had some great stories like how the Beatles (before they were Beatles) used to wait outside his hotel in Liverpool to try and meet him...pretty awesome story!

Here's some of Duane from the session with his new Signature Gretsch....

Spinning now....

What I'm listening to at the moment..  Paul Gilbert & Freddie Nelson; quite amazing guitar work and vocals that makes you think it's Freddie Mercury not Nelson belting out the songs.  Rob Zombie; Incredible the body of hits Rob has, such an amazing entertainer.  Steve Vai; an amazing legend.  This live album is incredible and has more licks than a van full of hungry lesbians at an ice cream parlor.

Highly recommended.

Changes & Things..

So it seems like donkeys years years since I blogged about anything, well actually it is.  A lot of happenings of the personal variety in the last year but I won't bore anyone here with that.

Just received a couple of copies of the new Steve Lukather CD "Alls Well That Ends Well" which I shot all the photos for one fun day in May at Luke's home in the Hollywood Hills.  Am giving it a spin as I write this blog entry and am loving it so far, a rich warm tonality, the talented CJ Vanston did an awesome job with the mix and production.  It's a wee bit darker than it's predecessor, 2008's Ever Changing Times but seems to be more of a reflection of Luke's place in life at the time.  A big thumbs up though and it's awesome seeing my work used so well.
